Within the Outreach team, you will be managing weekly posts on our social media and website, you will also be contacting and maintaining a relationship with experts and with our public through scheduled zoom meetings or phone calls, and establishing agreements and contracts with stakeholders and clients.

There are also opportunities to work with the Production and Research Teams for video processing and gathering material for sharing on our pages. Members are expected to attend weekly meetings and follow up with daily tasks and assignments that will contribute to create a whole new world of opportunities and experiences.

Here’s a quick summary of the Fall 2021 Outreach Team’s efforts.

We had the opportunity to give a five-minute presentation to the FDA Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee on October 15, 2021 regarding their consideration of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine booster shot.

The Outreach Team worked on creating the Invitation to Experts, in which we invited issue experts to watch our presentation.

We also created the Press Release, to garner media attention for the presentation, and for our project, in general.

Video Processing is a standardized protocol that Uniting for Action has created in order to divide up and organize all our videos.

The system uses the transcript of the video to help establish short video clips of the most important information which can then be edited and shared on our website, on YouTube, and through our social media channels.

The Production Team, Research Team, and Outreach Team collaboratively worked together to establish all the necessary steps of this system.
